Senior Legal Counsel - International BankYou will be joining a leading international bank as Senior Legal Counsel across a broad range of legal work with a particular focus on corporate banking transactions within an established team and based in Sydney.
About the Company The company is a leading international bank focusing on corporate and investment banking with an established and high-performing APAC and global legal team.
About the Role Responsibilities include:
Provide timely, practical legal guidance on dispute management and pre-dispute actions, and support vendor contract negotiations to meet business needs.Act as a trusted legal advisor to business units, providing proactive, cost-effective advice on relevant legal issues, and work closely with regional and global legal teams on group projects, litigation, and regulatory compliance.Maintain a regional perspective on legal transactions, driving standardisation across APAC while addressing local legal deviations where necessary.Ensure all activities align with risk appetite, uphold confidentiality of sensitive information, and comply with health and safety guidelines.About You You have:
Minimum 7PQE with relevant legal qualifications and current Australian practising certificate.Strong experience across wholesale and investment banking.Experience within a reputable law firm and ideally within an in-house environment too.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
