The role involves working closely with Senior Leadership on strategic transactions, both domestic and international, as well as assisting Legal Managers in handling litigation and disputes.Key Responsibilities included:Provide timely, professional, and practical legal advice to various business units on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, serving as a point of contact for external legal partners.Advise on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance with relevant corporate laws and regulations.Review and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, customer contracts, and service agreements, ensuring that legal risks are minimised.Provide legal advice on financial products and services, including structuring and drafting agreements, as well as navigating regulatory requirements.Offer expertise in areas such as leasing, franchising, and other commercial arrangements that align with business goals.Assist Legal Managers in managing litigation, disputes, and claims involving the company, working with external legal counsel when necessary.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect relevant information and ensure the company's position is well-documented and represented.Monitor the progress of ongoing disputes and advise the business on strategies to mitigate risks and potential liabilities.Collaborate on structuring transactions, conducting due diligence, and preparing necessary documentation.Ensure that all legal aspects of strategic deals are aligned with the company's broader business goals and compliance requirements.What is requiredBachelor of Laws degreeAdditional qualification in corporate law, commercial law, or international business law (preferred).Extensive experience as in-house legal counsel or in a law firm with a focus on corporate, commercial, or M&A law.Experience advising on a range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, litigation, and cross-border transactions.Proven track record of supporting M&A transactions, corporate governance, and dispute resolution.Strong negotiation and drafting skills.Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and prioritise effectively.About Mineral ResourcesMinRes is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, Iron Ore, Energy and Mining Services across Western Australia.
