We are looking for an exceptional
Senior Legal Counsel
to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be providing legal support to Workato's U.S. and international sales, customer success, product teams and other stakeholders as required.
This role will report to the Sr. Director, Legal Affairs and will collaborate with other Senior Corporate Counsel as appropriate.
The position will be hybrid in Singapore and expected in the office at least one day per week.
The successful candidate will be an individual contributor.The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, experienced creative problem solver who is comfortable taking on new challenges and working on novel issues.

You are self-aware and are committed to being a great team member.In this role, you will also be responsible to:Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of inbound and outbound commercial agreements including but not limited to cloud services agreements, license agreements, hosting agreements, partnership agreements, IT services contracts, non-disclosure agreements, leasing, and staffing contracts, etc.
Work with various stakeholders on a variety of commercial, enterprise, and strategic agreements in support of Workato's fast-growing business.
Conduct legal research and distill legal issues in a clear and concise manner for various stakeholders who are not attorneys.
Work on other legal projects as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills
Juris Doctor, LL.B., or equivalent, licensed in Singapore with bar membership in good standing.
Eligible to work in Singapore.
5-8+ years of legal experience with at least 2 years of SaaS licensing experience as in-house counsel at a technology company.
Demonstrated, deep knowledge of SaaS transactions.
Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations such as HIPAA, CPRA, GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, Singapore PDPC, and other global data privacy regulations.
Superior drafting and negotiation skills.
Must be comfortable negotiating directly with customer counsel.

Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. state or other international jurisdiction.

Experience with cross-border transactions in EMEA and AMER regions.
Ability to work in additional languages, such as Japanese or Korean.
