The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel based in North Sydney, working with our Corporate Legal team on a permanent basis. This role will support our team with the delivery of expert legal services on iconic construction projects across Australia.
Your key accountabilities will include:
Provide commercially relevant advice to our bid teams in the formation, review and closing of contracts for large scale projects.
Drafting and developing tender qualifications that address project risks.
Support the resolution of contractual issues that arise on projects during delivery.
Negotiating contract amendments with clients, joint venture partners and external lawyers.
Our Requirements
A minimum of 5 years PQE with a strong focus on front end construction contracts work.
Bachelor of Law (LLB or equivalent)
Qualified to practice as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction - holding a current practising certificate
In-depth understanding of the legal aspects of construction projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
