On account of maternity cover, the legal team is seeking a senior commercial lawyer for a fixed term 12-month contract, as a key member of the legal team in Australia and New Zealand. Located in either the Melbourne or Sydney offices, the Senior Legal Counsel will report to the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer and be part of a team of supportive and high-performing lawyers working collaboratively across ANZ.In this role, the Senior Legal Counsel will work closely with the business to provide commercial and transactional but also some regulatory and governance advice on key operational objectives and enterprise projects.Key responsibilities:Providing legal advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and Transdev Executive on their legal responsibilities and dutiesAssisting staff in identifying and managing legal issues and risks and encouraging ethical conductAdvising on legislative changes or judicial decisions affecting the business including workplace safetyAssisting and advising on contractual rights and obligations in connection with business partners and clientsAdvising the business on acquisitions, JVs, and infrastructure projectsDrafting (and negotiation) of contract documentation (including subcontracts, IT/procurement, supply, and RFT)Drafting and review of internal corporate governance policies and procedures as requiredProvide training sessions to the businessAt Transdev, you will contribute to improving the mobility of its customers and positively impact lives within local communities. Transdev is at the heart of keeping communities moving.This position will suit a lawyer with broad corporate/commercial and previous in-house experience and a minimum of 10 years' Post Qualification Experience.
