The client
Our client is a high-profile, ASX-listed Australian business operating in a fast-paced, dynamic and consumer facing industry.
The role
This specialist Senior Legal Counsel role offers some of the most interesting competition and consumer law work available in Australia.
You will be part of a responsive, dynamic, and highly collaborative legal team. As a business partner, you will advise on a range of competition and regulatory compliance issues as well as leading consumer law compliance strategy.A key focus of your role will be leading a small team responsible for developing, implementing and delivering training for all parts of the business to ensure top-down, best practice compliance with competition and consumer law obligations.
Your role will also include managing reporting to key stakeholders, including the Board.
About you
You will be a lawyer at Senior Associate-level (or equivalent) and have a specialisation in competition and consumer law. Your technical skills are complimented by your maturity, judgement, and confidence and your accountability for the delivery of services and outcomes. You will have strong stakeholder management skills and be capable of engaging with and influencing stakeholders of varying levels of sophistication.
Your "can do" results-oriented, meticulous, and practical approach will hold you in good stead in this role. Your confidence to deliver accurate and commercially practical solutions, your abilities to juggle priorities and to work with a diverse range of colleagues will
