This is a unique opportunity to join an Australian company which is accelerating the global transition to renewable energy through the development of innovative technology. Ambitious and successful, our client values excellence in their people and supports each other to achieve outstanding results, fostering a collaborative work environment, while also maintaining a strong customer focus. Having continued to achieve major milestones over recent years, an opportunity exists for a highly pragmatic lawyer to help deliver positive commercial outcomes for the business.
Reporting to the Chief Legal and Commercial Officer, you will provide a broad range of commercial legal advice in relation to commercial contracts and supply agreements, original equipment manufacturing contracts, large-scale energy projects and IP protection. Supporting the governance and risk program, you will also assist with the development of corporate policies and the management of the risk register. In this broad role with huge growth potential, you will also provide support to the Company Secretariat function including in relation to investor relations.
This pivotal role will suit a passionate and commercially minded lawyer with at least five years' experience in a commercial legal role, gained in-house or within a prominent law firm, and with proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, with some exposure to IP. Alternatively, it might suit a more senior commercial lawyer seeking a part-time working arrangement. Passionate and pragmatic, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will have an ability to translate complex legal concepts into simple and practical commercial guidance. With superior engagement skills, you will forge strong working relationships across the business. This is a boldly innovative and growth-oriented organisation and as such, you should be a flexible and self-sufficient lawyer with a passion for excellence and the kind of drive which aligns with a collegial, accountable and high-performance workplace culture.
