Senior Legal Counsel

Position Profile: We are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel. This role is responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely expert legal advice is provided to the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) and assists the General Counsel on a wide range of issues. This may include providing legal and strategic advice to various teams across EMHS, including but not limited to procurement and contract management, industrial relations, work health safety, clinical services, innovation and research, finance and infrastructure, cyber security, and on-going projects. This is not a medico-legal role and does not directly deal with medical negligence or insurance claims.
Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 670,000 Western Australians in its catchment area. Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women's, children's and neonates services.
