We work in partnership with Defence industry and Government to provide highly modular and scalable products which are integral to a wide range of critical Defence capabilities.CEA's benefits include:Free Car ParkingDefence Health premium discountsEmployee Assistance & well-being programsSalary packagingRewards and RecognitionGroup Life InsuranceStudy Assistance and TrainingTo find out more about us, visit our website: www.cea.com.auThe PositionThe Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for delivering practical, fit for purpose Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) advisory compliance and solutions across CEA Technologies.Report directly to the General Counsel with dotted line to the CPO, the successful candidate will ensure CEA Technologies conducts business in accordance with relevant legislation, deliver education and training to employees and provide advice and services that drives business performance.The role is responsible for:Building and maintaining trusted relationships across the business, being a key point of contact for employment and industrial relations advice and services across the organisationBeing as key point of contact for ER/IR, with the General Counsel, advice for senior managers, executives and boardProviding ER/IR advice (and manage advice provided by external lawyers), on legal, regulatory and policy issues of importance to the organisationMonitoring changes and developments in the legal and regulatory environment that the organisation operates within and develop appropriate strategiesManaging grievances and complaints in collaboration with business leaders and other relevant business areasConducting workplace investigations, and where appropriate, appoint and instruct external advisors and investigatorsStrong commercial acumen, with an ability to advise and present to senior managers, executives and board membersA trusted business advisor who is able to build, maintain and strengthen partnerships at all levels of the organisationA legal mindset including risk mitigation and a familiarity with WHS obligationsA good working knowledge, interpretation and application of relevant Employment and Industrial laws at a federal, state and territory level5 years post-admission experience at minimum and a current practicing certificate in ACT or NSWEligibilityTo be eligible for this position you must be:Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance at the NV1 levelHow to applyClick on the 'Apply Now' button below.
