Job DescriptionAbout the roleWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel - Implementation to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent basis. In this fast-paced role, you will work collaboratively across the Legal team to provide legal advice and services to QIC's global business, across jurisdictions, investment teams and business units in line with the global distribution strategy. You will thrive in a team environment and prioritise your work like a pro.Key responsibilities will include:Providing timely advice on legal matters and commercial risks in relation to investment activities.Drafting and negotiating various legal documents and providing strategic advice to protect QIC from legal risk.Assisting with legal services arising from investment pipelines to support establishment and provide ongoing legal support to mitigate and manage risk during investment processes.Assisting in supporting the business in an advisory capacity in respect of enterprise legal risks, contracting, regulatory and information technology, procurement, operational and policy advice, ESG, licensing and organisational structuring, strategic initiatives and dispute resolution.About YouIt's understood that you will possess exceptional stakeholder management skills, establishing strong working relationships through an adaptable and client-centric approach. Your skillset and experience, likely aligns with the following criteria:Experience in a commercial environment preferably with exposure to fund establishment and management, trusts, SMAs, corporate law, real estate, debt financing, acquisition and disposal transactions, banking, or projects.Strong commercial problem solving and evaluation skills to identify issues and analyse options.Experience identifying and implementing new solutions, systems or processes.Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining an optimistic and calm approach.Law qualification and practicing certificate.If you are someone who can balance multiple competing priorities in a proactive, risk-based environment, we want to hear from you.
