Be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of transport and tourism on a global scale.The work is varied and intellectually stimulating and will present a diverse range of legal challenges that make each day both interesting and rewarding.As Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide expert legal advice on a wide array of commercial and contractual matters to senior management across the Australian operations, including both bus and marine/tourism divisions. Reporting to the Head of Legal, Australian Operations, you will play a key role in the Group Legal and Risk team, delivering practical, high-quality legal solutions that align with the company's commercial objectives while effectively managing legal risks.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic commercial legal advice, reviewing tender documentation for bus and marine services.Draft, negotiate, and manage business contracts and agreements, including construction agreements, property leases, supply contracts, and general commercial contracts.Work across Australia, advising on a wide range of legal issues, from commercial disputes to compliance with privacy, consumer, and safety laws.Collaborate closely with operational management and internal stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships based on trust and respect.Support project teams with legal advice on ad-hoc projects and identify relevant legislative changes.Skills & Experience:Extensive relevant legal experience, including experience in-house.Substantial commercial law experience, with a strong background in contract negotiation and drafting.Expertise in litigation, privacy law, consumer law, safety law, or property law is highly desirable.Ability to act autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Qualifications:A tertiary qualification in Law.You'll be part of a supportive, high-performing legal team in a fast-paced industry that offers opportunities to grow and make a meaningful impact.
