We are currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Assistant in Perth for my client who are a global law firm in over 40 countries.
Duties: Provide high level support to partners and fee earners Assists across the different practice groups as needed on specific tasks to develop specialist expertise.
Areas include: corporate, real estate, litigation, finance & projects as well as business development Stakeholder engagement in building relationships with relevant partners and fee earners in all practice groups Adding value by taking a proactive approach to tasks and anticipating potential problems before they arise Understanding document management processes (iManage) Assisting fee earners with the organisation of meetings including preparation of agendas and collating meeting papers in a timely manner Utilising document production for the creation of all first draft documents Completing financial reports where required, from internal systems highlighting outstanding monies to be billed and updating particular client financial schedules where necessary Assisting on ad-hoc projects as and when required, for example managing bundles, supporting team events etc.
Attention to detail and taking pride in organisation Creating new client matter files, closing and archiving Any other secretarial or administrative duties as required including filing and photocopying Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience as a legal assistant or secretary Previous experience of billing Previous experience of document management systems Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent diary management Strong organisation and prioritisation skills Good verbal and written communication skills Applies knowledge and judgement to solve problems and make decisions Experience of delegating to, and training, less experienced team members Flexible approach to working practices in order to meet business needs Friendly, personable and approachable Adaptable and flexible approach Conscientious and diligent Remains calm under pressure Eager to learn and develop skills In return they offer an excellent salary + benefits package which includes WHF flexibility and bonus home office allowance, state of the art offices with in house catering, health wellbeing iniativies to name a few.
