The program is specifically aligned to the professional capabilities for registered paramedics, as governed by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), along with the legislation governing paramedic practice: The Health Practitioner Regulation National Law.This role reports to the Head of Program Development, Quality and Assessment; and through them to the National Head of School of Medicine.Key ResponsibilitiesThe preparation, development, and delivery of lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and workplace integrated learning support.Course coordination and line management of teaching team.Involvement in professional activities to maintain professional accreditation requirements.Consultation with students.Broad administrative functions.Marking and assessment; with regular quality review to meet all academic integrity and University policy and procedures in assessment.Attendance at team, school or faculty meetings as required and a key role in planning or committee work.Comply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct.Authority to commit resources of UNDA in line with the Operational Delegations of Authority.Other duties as directed by the line manager, National Head of School or delegate.Qualifications, skills & experiencePossession of a paramedicine qualification, registered with AHPRA and a PhD or Master's with five years' experience in health or professional practice-based education settings.Demonstrated experience in the education and assessment of paramedics.Demonstrated leadership and management qualities.High level written and oral communication skills.Able to work independently and collegially within a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Web-based applications.Knowledge and experience in using Learning Management Systems like Blackboard.BenefitsFast paced environment with opportunity for professional growthGenerous training and development opportunitiesJoin the University supporting its students and staff to achieve their career goals – in a person and positive environmentHow to applyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.Applications closing date: 29 November 2024To expedite the process, we will begin shortlisting and conducting interviews prior to the close of the advertisement.
