Full time, continuing appointmentTeaching Focused Academic Level C - $131,498 to $153,889 paPlus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leaveCasuarina CampusDevelop and deliver a new clinical medicine program at Charles Darwin University (CDU)About the PositionCDU is the only Northern Territory (NT) based university and as a place-based regional university it is deeply embedded in our local communities and is planning to deliver a new medical program in 2025 that is tailored specifically to the needs of our local community. The purpose is to establish a medical program at CDU to graduate and retain more First Nations and local resident doctors in the NT to serve the NT community.As the Senior Lecturer Clinical Medicine, you will have a pivotal role in providing expertise in the area of development and delivery of medical curriculum focused on the Introduction to Clinical Medicine theme across the first two years of the medical program and as each year of the medical program is introduced lead the development and delivery of clinical curriculum. You will align learning outcomes, assessment and evaluation, ensuring the program meets the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Standards for Assessment and Accreditation of Primary Medical Programs while addressing the unique healthcare needs of the region and the purpose of the program.About YouTo be successful, you will require:Doctor of Medicine or equivalent medical degreePostgraduate qualification in medical education or equivalent industry experience in clinical medicine teaching and a distinguished record in medical educationDemonstrated experience in clinical medicine education, including curriculum development and assessment design for clinical medicineDemonstrated effectiveness in teaching and mentorship of medical students.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.Commitment to promoting cultural safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education.This position is subject to Charles Darwin University Affirmative Action Priority Recruitment measures, in accordance with s57 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1992 (NT) 1992.First Nations applicants are strongly encouraged to apply & will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.RemunerationAppointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level C.
