The Opportunity As an Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology, you will lead academic activities, focusing on clinical exercise physiology within Exercise & Sport Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology courses. You will direct a range of academic activities, focusing on the development, design, and delivery of teaching activities. This role will see you work with a state-wide team, fostering a positive workplace culture. For Senior Lecturer (Academic Level C) appointments, strong support from senior leaders will ensure your success and development in this position.
Lead the development of new interprofessional experiences and discipline-specific content across our allied health courses.Develop and maintain productive links inside the University and with the wider Tasmanian community, industry, and profession.Facilitate quality work-integrated learning experiences for students, ensuring a scaffolded, connected, and supported pedagogical experience.Focus on student work-integrated learning and placement activities.What's Required You're a team-oriented and innovative Academic who is committed to creating and delivering engaging learning experiences that prepare our graduates for the workforce. You display a passion for work-integrated learning and supporting high-impact professional placement experiences. Fostering a cohesive and dynamic team culture, you promote evidence-based practice.
Demonstrated experience working as an accredited exercise physiologist, within a multidisciplinary allied health team, or in the high-performance sport industry.Experience in leading University-level curriculum development and teaching, with the ability to create and deliver dynamic and relevant learning experiences across all delivery modes using contemporary teaching practices.Strong record or proven capacity to perform as an academic leader, with the ability to build teams and create effective working relationships.Demonstrated experience in leading impactful work integrated learning activities for students, providing scaffolded, connected, and supported pedagogical experiences.Highly developed interpersonal skills with a record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry, and the wider community.Capacity to lead or commitment to create impactful research that contributes significantly to the field of allied health, evidenced by quality publications, conference presentations, success in securing external funding, and translating evidence to practice and/or curriculum.Qualifications and Licences Academic Level D - Completion of a PhD Degree in a relevant health discipline (or equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience).Academic Level C - Completion of a Master or PhD Degree in a relevant health discipline (or equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience).Current registration as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).What's on Offer?
