About the Role The Centre for Forensic Science is recruiting a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Digital Forensic Science. You play a key role in teaching and development of academic programs with a focus on digital forensic science. The appointee will actively contribute to the continued growth of forensic science research and research funding. In this role you will supervise HDR students and actively engage with the professional community at all levels, fostering international and national links with groups and with industry, government, professions and community organisations.
About You You will have demonstrated experience within forensic science teaching programs, with a specific focus on digital forensic science and the capacity to develop advanced programs of study. As a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor, you will have the ability to lead and build research collaborations between computing, IT and forensic science. To be successful in this role you will have:
A PhD in an area of computing, IT or similar, relevant to forensic science or in forensic science with a focus on digital forensic science.Demonstrated (for appointment at Level D internationally recognised) track record of research excellence.Demonstrated involvement in the wider academic and professional community.Record of success in securing nationally competitive research grants.Base Salary Range: $147,778 to $169,711 pa (Level C) / $178,123 to $195,263 pa (Level D). This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
