Details of the offer

The Senior Learning Advisor key responsibilities are: • Establish formal mentoring relationships with allocated CSOs, to identify learning and developmental goals and provide regular scheduled support and respond in a timely way to issues impacting the CSOs learning development.
• Provide constructive, regular feedback, explore challenges and complexity with respect and curiosity, recognise and celebrate achievements and give timely recognition for effort, achievements and outcomes. In partnership with the CSO, Senior Team Leader and other relevant staff, the Senior Learning Advisors will support CSOs with relevant evaluations related to their achievement and capability plan or performance development agreement.
• Contribute to development and delivery of group learning activities, informed by contemporary learning strategies and technologies, designed to create a safe and collaborative learning environment where CSOs are able to progress their individual learning goals, deepen their practice and role capability and develop and expand their professional and peer networks.
• Draw on practice experience and professional networks to contribute to building CSOs capability and confidence across all relevant and intersecting aspects of their role and assist CSOs to translate knowledge and skills to applied frontline child protection practice.
• Partner with Cultural Practice Advisors, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Practice Leaders, other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, Community
Controlled Organisations and stakeholders to support CSOs to develop their cultural capability, integrate this into their practice and review and reflect on their cultural capability regularly.
• Provide accurate and contemporary information and resources to CSOs in relation to their role-specific capability development and practice, in accordance with legislation, policy, procedures and practice guidelines.
• Collate and interpret learning and performance data and liaise proactively with relevant partners and stakeholders with relevant learnings.
• Participate and contribute productively as a member of the team to culturally-led, inclusive, collaborative and responsive working relationships within the team and with key partners and stakeholders. Communicate respectfully and promote a safe environment and ethos for learning and professional growth.
• Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement and demonstrate commitment to excellence through ensuring consistent high quality learning support for CSOs, and actively pursue feedback about individual and program performance and impact. Demonstrate and model a commitment to continuous reflection and professional development supporting quality practice and life-long learning.
• Maintain high quality records and documentation, updating, monitoring and reviewing completions and participation for learning and development activities.
• Collect and analyse feedback and relevant data and contribute to regular reporting on activities and deliverables for the CSO learning and development program.
• Manage competing demands while delivering consistently high quality support for CSOs engaged with the program, including an ability to manage priorities, respond and adapt to changes in requirements.
