The diverse and talented staff in the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) play a central role in achieving ECU's vision, and in designing and implementing future-oriented teaching and learning strategies.
With its base at the Joondalup Campus, the CLT delivers a comprehensive suite of services and programmes on campus.

The Learning Support team forms part of the CLT and focuses on enhancing student success and preparedness for university.
The team supports all ECU students to transition into university successfully and progress throughout their study, including enabling, undergraduate, postgraduate, and HDR programs.
The team adopts a strength-based perspective to student development in these programs through delivering academic skills activities both within and outside of the curriculum.

The Role
The Senior Learning Adviser (AI Literacy) is an exciting role that will support students in the productive, ethical, and critical use of artificial intelligence for learning and assessment.
This support will be provided through activities such as the creation of prompt guides and online learning resources, the delivery of student workshops, and building the capacity of other ECU support staff to provision high-quality advice for the student use of AI.
The role will also work collaboratively with other Senior Learning Advisers, Senior Learning Designers, and Librarians to support professional learning for academic staff in the student use of AI.
This may include student support for self-regulating learning, building feedback literacy, and improving professional communication in diverse disciplinary contexts.

The role will prioritise the student support for university approved tools, though it will also contribute to the evaluation of other emerging AI tools and platforms.
Support and evaluation for these tools will align with ECU's vision to provide high-quality learning experiences that build student independence, critical thinking, and employability.

Selection Criteria
The successful applicants will possess the following capabilities:
A graduate qualification or progression towards a higher degree in Education and subsequent relevant teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/trainingDemonstrated experience in supporting the student use of artificial intelligence in a higher education contextDemonstrated experience in supporting student skills development, including academic communication and other forms of learning supportStrong interpersonal skills and experience supporting people of diverse cultural backgroundsA highly collaborative approach with a record of having achieved significant goals through teamwork.The successful applicant will also have personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed-term (18-month) role attracts a salary of $115,042 to $129,573 pa plus 17% superannuation.
