However, this change brings an exciting opportunity to join our workshop as Senior / Leading Hands and a Trade Mentor on a full-time basis. We are a multi-disciplined SMP Engineering, Fabrication, Civil, Building, and Marine Construction Company with a strong pipeline of work for 2024, and we're eager to welcome skilled, energetic professionals to our team.In these roles, standard boilermaker duties will apply, with additional responsibilities tailored to each position:Senior Leading HandAs a Senior Leading Hand, you'll lead a team of Leading Hands, each responsible for different projects and tasks. Your role includes:Ensuring that all Leading Hands manage their teams to follow correct procedures, maintain paperwork, and meet quality check and hold points.Coordinating with dispatch and overseeing project progress to ensure efficiency.Holding a Certificate 10 Welding Supervisor certification to support quality standards and process development throughout the workshop.Joining teams that require higher standards in quality and output.Leading HandAs a Leading Hand, you'll lead a team of up to five workers, distributing project work packs and actively working alongside your team to maintain productivity and efficiency. Your role includes:Allocating tasks based on project requirements and team strengths.Monitoring team performance to identify and nurture strong skills and capabilities.Ensuring all procedures are followed accurately to meet quality and timeline standards.Trade MentorIdeal for an experienced tradesperson ready to share knowledge with apprentices and newer team members.
