About the role   – Permanent, full-time   We are seeking a seasoned people leader with strong experience managing operational and compliance risk activities in a line one setting.
You will have a proven track record of promoting a strong risk and compliance culture through effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration, driving maturity in risk management processes while supporting the business delivery of financial services that meet community and member expectations.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong strategic mindset who can unite and enhance the capabilities of a team of risk and compliance professionals, driving collective success and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:  Accountable for embedding risk and compliance management strategy maintaining currency to continuously exceed requirements.
Execute all elements of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
Execute all elements of the Compliance Management Framework.
Provide exceptional leadership to the RAMs and CAMs supporting ongoing training in both technical skills and soft skills.
Work in consultation with second and third lines of defence (Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit)  Location  Whilst our primary office locations are across Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Toowoomba, we are pleased to be able to consider applications from employees in all locations for this role.

About you     You have a strong understanding of the finance industry, with the ability to interpret banking processes and regulatory obligations effectively.
Your proven leadership skills enable you to inspire and develop teams successfully, underpinned with demonstrated experience in managing operational and compliance risk within a complex organisation.
You are adept at navigating challenges and achieving positive outcomes.
Your influential and collaborative approach ensures you actively contribute to process improvements and change management initiatives.
Your strategic mindset and ability to lead by example will make you an ideal fit for this dynamic role.
