Reporting to the Head of Data Partnering, Strategy, and Performance, you will design data pipelines and products, manage cross-functional teams, and leverage technologies like data lakehousing, ETL, and Generative AI to meet business and governance objectives.Your new roleThis role supports AUSPAC's transformation by streamlining Data & Analytics engagement and aligning solutions with business needs. As Senior Lead – Data Delivery, you will oversee data product delivery in a business domain, working with the Senior Lead – Data Partnering and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable workflows.Key responsibilitiesRelationship Management: Build networks across teams to encourage collaboration, communication, and innovation. Strengthen relationships with Technology and shared services to address constraints and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.Project Planning: Collaborate with Senior Leads to understand demand, create project plans, estimate resources, and track progress, adjusting as needed based on funding and commitments.Supply Management: Oversee project execution, coordinate delivery resources, align activities with priorities, and keep stakeholders informed on progress and adjustments.Product & Service Delivery: Lead programs from inception to maintenance, managing progress, risks, and dependencies. Translate stakeholder objectives into technical requirements, monitor backlogs, and ensure alignment with service level agreements.Working Relationships: Partner with Data & Analytics, Technology, and service teams throughout the lifecycle of product design, delivery, and maintenance. Work closely with Senior Leads to meet business needs.Strategy & Planning: Contribute to Data & Analytics strategies, monitor program status, and support capability growth across AUSPAC.Activities: Attend project meetings, author assessments, manage risks, maintain project plans, and ensure quality and compliance with standards and policies.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience in leading end-to-end delivery in complex data environments, including data warehouses, data lakes, application development, data science, and machine learning.Skilled at translating business needs into technical solutions, with strong communication abilities and a deep understanding of data and analytics solutions from start to finish.Extensive stakeholder management experience, with a consultative approach to managing expectations, navigating complex challenges, and driving alignment across diverse business functions.Experience in leading the end-to-end lifecycle of data & analytic products and services.Expertise in delivery, including understanding technical requirements and collaborating with delivery teams to drive execution.Demonstrated experience in data & analytic product and service delivery, with strong skills in data & analytic solutioning and backlog management.Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across business and shared service functions.Experience working in agile environments, with the ability to lead teams, balance competing priorities, and adapt quickly to changes.Familiarity with a broad range of data & analytics technologies and applications, and a passion for staying current with best practices and industry advancements.Preferable – experience in the insurance industry or a regulated business environment, with an understanding of the unique data challenges and opportunities in such contexts.About QBEWe can never really predict what's around the corner, but at QBE we're asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future – helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.
