Senior Lawyer - Property/LeasingOur ClientOur client is an independent Australian law firm with a significant presence in both Australia and the Asia Pacific region. This client now offers an exciting opportunity to join the firm's national leasing practice.The RoleOur client is looking for an experienced Senior Associate to join their national leasing team in Melbourne, focusing on leasing matters across multiple sectors. This role involves a diverse range of commercial, retail, and other leasing work, representing both tenants and landlords. Key responsibilities will include drafting leases and related documents, such as assignments, variations, renewals, and surrenders.As a Senior Associate, you will also take on a leadership role, providing guidance and supervision to paralegals and junior lawyers, becoming an integral part of the team. A strong understanding of the legislative requirements surrounding leases and their registration across all Australian jurisdictions is essential.There is also the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including publicly listed companies, property managers, shopping centre and property owners, government agencies, and major corporations across different industries.About YouIdeally, you will need to have proven experience in a property and/or leasing background.
