The Role In this role, you will collaborate closely with highly regarded Partners on a variety of tasks, including:
Advising on diverse intellectual property matters such as trademark and design prosecution, brand protection, IP commercialisation, and copyright issues. Managing disputes and litigation, especially concerning trademarks, passing off, misleading or deceptive conduct, copyright, designs, and confidential information. Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts that include IP components, like licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and distribution contracts. Overseeing IP due diligence for corporate transactions. Advising on and managing global IP portfolios, including direct interactions with intellectual property offices and foreign agents. Drafting and filing trademark and design applications. You will also play an active role in business development, client management, and mentoring a junior cohort of staff, alongside providing legal counsel.
About You To be successful in this role, you should have 5-7 years (PQE) in intellectual property, with a strong background in trademark prosecution, IP advisory work, and IP litigation.
A proactive attitude, along with exceptional legal and drafting skills, is essential for delivering high quality service.
You'll need to work independently, demonstrate enthusiasm, and adapt to client needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for your success in this role.
