We are seeking a Senior Lawyer with experience in the areas of general commercial and IT to join our dynamic in-house legal team in the Commercial & Property stream within the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) at Monash. This 12-month role offers an exciting opportunity to support key Monash activities managing complex legal matters and fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
The Commercial & Property stream supports the University's critical infrastructure with major property and construction matters, as well as significant business and IT procurement initiatives.
About You As the successful candidate, you will be a qualified legal practitioner with at least four years post-admission experience in IT and commercial law. Your expertise includes review, drafting, and negotiation of significant IT contracts, including master agreements for procurement of hardware, software, and services, software licensing, as well as general procurement agreements for goods and services.
You enjoy working in a complex environment and adapting to a diverse range of matters and priorities on a daily basis.
You have a proven ability to work autonomously and understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer service to key internal stakeholders and developing respectful and trusting relationships. Your excellent communication and written skills, along with your strong stakeholder management skills, will see you succeed in this role.
