Senior Lawyer

Working across a diverse range of legal matters in the context of litigation, you will excel in this role if you have a strong background in litigation in a complex regulatory environment, a solutions-focused approach to litigation, great communication skills and a positive attitude. The litigation team conducts and manages legal proceedings and provides pre-litigation advice across RSHQ including:
providing advice in respect of administrative decision-making and exercise of discretionexercise of powers and advice during investigationsconducting appeals against decisions of the Chief Inspector before the Industrial Court and decisions made by the CEO before the Industrial Magistrates Court;conducting merits reviews before QCAT and civil penalty proceedings before the Industrial Magistrates Court.The team also provides legal representation where RSHQ may be a party to coronial inquests. The scope of the litigation work in the role may involve instructing panel firms and Counsel as required.
