About the role:
In this role you will:
With limited supervision manage and undertake compliance related litigation, statutory appeal and tribunal related litigation for the three agencies.
Appear as an advocate and instruct legal service providers in appeals and prosecutions, including in hearings and summary trials, pleas, directions hearings, mediations and mentions in various courts and tribunals including the Magistrates Court, District Court, Land Court, Planning & Environment Court and QCAT.
Provide high level, expert oral and written legal advice and solutions to all staff within the three agencies up to Executive Director and Deputy Director-General level, including on complex and sensitive legal matters.
Liaise with external legal providers to ensure a consistent, coordinated and cost-effective approach to the provision of legal services across the three agencies.
Other duties as directed and required.
