About the role We are currently recruiting for a Senior Lawyer to join our Governance and Corporate Services division. As a vital member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance and excellence across our operations.
You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, guiding employees on the organisation's legal obligations, and assisting in the management of legal matters under the direction of the Head of Legal. Your contributions will directly impact our core objectives of safety, operational efficiency, customer value, and financial sustainability.
This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy's operational footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
About You You bring specialised legal expertise and insight to ensure compliance and excellence. With a strong background in commercial law, regulated and unregulated industries and risk management, you navigate complex legal landscapes with precision. Your analytical prowess, persuasive communication, ability to work autonomously as well as in a team, drive success in our dynamic environment. In addition, you have:
Specialised post-qualification legal experience in a relevant area (commercial, construction, infrastructure, major projects, energy) Knowledge of relevant laws, particularly in regulated industries. Strong analytical, negotiation and drafting skills. An agile mindset and the ability to build effective networks. Required Qualifications Degree in law and a current practising certificate as a solicitor in NSW.
