The Role: Due to continued growth, Cooper Grace Ward has an excellent opportunity for a driven and highly skilled Senior Lawyer to join our property, planning and environment team.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in environmental law, with a particular focus on environmental offsets, carbon sequestration, and land access agreements and arrangements.
Key Responsibilities: Drafting and negotiating environmental offsets and carbon sequestration agreementsCollaborate with clients to develop strategies that align with environmental regulations and sustainability goalsStay abreast of legislative changes and industry trendsContribute to the firm's expertise in environmental lawAbout you: The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:
5+ years' experience in a similar roleExcellent knowledge and understanding of environmental obligations supporting major development projects such as mining, large scale development, and infrastructure projectsExpertise in drafting and negotiating environmental offsets and carbon sequestration agreementsExcellent knowledge of land access agreements and arrangements necessary to support major projectsOutstanding attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate high-quality workExcellent client service orientation with a desire to strengthen and build client relationships to continually contribute to the growth and success of the firmOutstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAbout Cooper Grace Ward: Cooper Grace Ward is a leading independent law firm based in Brisbane.
