Your new roleAs part of the infrastructure directorate, you will work with a range of engineers, planners and designers to create a new vision for Knox's open spaces. The Senior Landscape Architect will deliver assigned Capital Works and Operational programs for the service, provide specialist support to the Coordinator Strategic Open Space Planning and mentor and advise members of the team on design and technical matters. This role will prepare landscape design concepts, master plans, cost estimates, working drawings, specifications and work plans for works in Council's capital works and operational programs. The Senior Landscape Architect will project manage Council's capital works projects to achieve high quality outcomes, within budget and in a timely manner. This role will also assist in developing strategic plans in relation to Open Space development.
This is a full-time permanent role based at the Civic Centre, but we can offer hybrid working arrangements and flexible work options for the right candidate.
This is a Band 7 classified role, remuneration will be $107,507.54 - $120,572.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will need to thriveThe key selection criteria for this role are:
Highly developed project management skills.Excellent written, verbal and graphical communication skills.Advanced experience in the preparation of strategic plans, policies and guidelines in relation to the development of public space.Advanced skills and experience with AutoCAD.Experience in developing community consultation programs and the implementation.Keeping abreast with statutory requirements and responsibilities as applicable to Landscape Architecture.Ability to provide advice and guidance to team members, monitor the design program and collaborate effectively.Advanced skills in time management, setting priorities and budgets, planning and organising work to meet objectives, deadlines and budgets.Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and facilitate outcomes.How to applyPlease provide a resume and brief cover letter addressing the 'what you need to thrive' section from the position description to outline how your experience and skills relate to the role.
