This role offers a unique opportunity to manage Crown land referrals and ensure the City's interests are represented, all while contributing to important land use planning projects that shape our community.Key Responsibilities:Manage Crown land proposals and referrals, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.Build and maintain effective relationships with State Government departments, internal stakeholders, and external parties including native title holders and community groups.Coordinate the City's objections to mining tenement applications and represent its interests in the Mining Warden's Court.Prepare detailed reports and recommendations on land use proposals, mining applications, and other Crown land matters.Provide guidance on policies and procedures to support effective land management within the City.What We're Looking For:Extensive experience in Crown land processes, mining tenements, and State Government referrals.Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies, with the ability to assess land use proposals and provide sound recommendations.Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.Highly developed problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.Tertiary qualifications in land use planning or a related field.Valid C Class driver's license and a current National Police Certificate.Why join us?
