The Senior Land Use Planner will be responsible for establishing a strategic approach to embed consideration of land use planning into waste and resource recovery infrastructure planning and contribute to strategic and statutory planning in collaboration with other stakeholders within DEECA and local governments.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in land use planning or related field and with demonstrated contemporary experience and knowledge in the preparation of land use planning strategies, plans and policies.Strong research, writing, and communication skills.Extensive experience and knowledge of statutory and strategic land use planning within the Victorian metropolitan and regional planning context is required.Knowledge of significant government policies and strategies on land use planning and legislation is required.Sound knowledge of the Victorian resource recovery sector is desirable.This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
