Unleash your potential and #MakeADifference!As a Senior Land Officer, you will provide specialist advice and deliver compliance and project management functions that support planned operational and business improvement activities associated with fire, pest and compliance risk activities on Resources managed land located across the state.

We strengthen regional and rural economies by supporting job creation, diversification, and infrastructure development, collaborating closely with local communities to address their unique needs.About the role:Oversee and contribute to the delivery of programs under the Land Act 1994, including risk mitigation and compliance activities on Resources controlled State land.Lead, supervise, and coordinate staff and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective delivery of State land management functions across the State.Conduct inspections for land dealings under the Land Act 1994, respond to inquiries, and provide advice on compliance issues related to State land.Contribute to stakeholder discussions to manage risks associated with State controlled land and address interests such as cultural heritage and native title rights.Provide advice and briefing documents to Managers on risks associated with State land and potential business improvements.Participate in the planning and development of compliance framework and coordinate compliance reporting functions.This position requires:Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and supervise a remote, multi-disciplinary team.Knowledge of the Land Act 1994, land management, planning, and risk mitigation activities such as hazard reduction burning and herbicide application.Possession of a C class driver's license, with the ability to travel, including overnight stays and travel outside normal office hours when required.Why join us?We are committed to being a workplace that focuses on people.
