Do you have expertise in laboratory techniques, a keen eye for detail and leadership skills? Mackay Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for two experienced and qualified Senior Laboratory Technicians to join our Water Treatment team on a permanent full-time basis.
About this opportunity: Your role will involve supporting the Mackay Regional Council's Water and Waste Services and its clients by contributing to the prompt delivery of high-quality scientific and analytical services.
You will be responsible for overseeing a team of laboratory technicians who perform various physical, chemical, and microbiological tests.
Your primary objective will be to ensure that analysis schedules are adhered to and turnaround times are met.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Have appropriate qualifications in Chemistry and/or Microbiology (Bachelor Degree, Associate Diploma etc.)
or a recognised equivalent qualificationHold a current QLD "C" class driver's licenceHave the ability to use, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot a wide variety of laboratory and field equipmentHave demonstrated knowledge of laboratory quality management systems such as NATA requirements and commitments to the principles of quality assurance and controlWhy work for Mackay Regional Council?
