We are looking for a Software Microservices Engineer/Developer to join our team permanently. We have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra and can consider people in any of those locations.
About the Role :
Design, implement and manage continuous integrationManage build, deploy scripts and systemsIdentify areas for process and efficiency improvementRecommend solutions and help teams with implementationActively facilitate continuous improvementManage and plan their own work with minimal supervisionBe available to carry out production deployment and support activities
About You:
8+ years' experience with building enterprise level Microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, KafkaExperience working with GIT, AWS, Jenkins, ArtifactoryExperience with microservices deployment and container technologies like Docker, KubernetesExperience with AWS ecosystem (DynamoDB, RDS, S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch), AWS certification preferableExperience with KafkaStrong working knowledge of PostgreSQLUnderstanding of API gateways such as KongQuality first mind-set for writing code using techniques such as TDD and BDD, excellent debuggingskills EEnvironment performance monitoring and reporting.Documenting practices, solutions, known issues, and common trouble shooting procedures.DevOps capabilities, including the knowledge of testing automation, CI/CD pipeline, AWS cloud, APIs and microservicesExperience with Tomcat, Gradle, Hystrix Circuit Breakers, Testing toolsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environment.Solid understanding of software design principles and patternsEffective time management and communication skillsBachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Technology or relevant fields
