Senior Java Developer

ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA, Offsite

12 + 12 month contract (ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance required) 7.5 hour day

Design, implement, manage, and support high performance, scalable J2EE applications on Linux platforms

Our client, a Government entity is seeking a Senior Java Developer .

About the client

They are responsible for managing the application of bankruptcy and personal property securities laws.

About the role - Senior Java Developer

The Senior Applications Developer develops and maintains code and associated documentation for online systems in accordance with established standards, liaising directly with business users to understand requirements and ensure the development of fit for purpose reports and products.

Duties

Participate in and contribute to Scrum ceremonies, events, and artefacts to help continue to build a great development culture and agile program

Contribute to the full Software Lifecycle from requirements elicitation to post-production support

Knowledge transfer mechanisms may include, but are not limited to SOPs, WIs, manuals, technical specifications

Skills / Experience

Demonstrates commitment to explore, learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working, to achieve better business outcomes

Communicates clearly in plain English, without using jargon

Keeps the end user in mind to shape program outcomes to meet needs
