Hays recruitment in Darwin is currently partnering with a government-owned electricity generation company to find an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join their team as soon as possible.
Your new role
As the successful candidate, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering complex IT projects within the organisation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and endure successful project execution. You will specifically be contributing towards smooth restructuring of Active Directory and Network Segmentation.
Your role will entail and not be limited to: Lead end-to-end project delivery, from planning to deployment. Manage multiple projects and drive process improvements to enhance team efficiency and agility. Communicate effectively with IT management, business partners, and external vendors. Maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk management, and quality control. Develop and maintain project and resource plans. Collaborate with senior management to align project expectations. Anticipate operation and tactical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Mediate conflicts and escalate issues when necessary. What you'll need to succeed Ability to create and manage baseline project plans Capable of articulating technical details to staff and summarising key points for executive understanding. Possess a solid understanding of establishing new networks, system migration, and infrastructure deployment Demonstrate superior project management abilities, backed by a proven track record. Exhibit problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities that influence both management and partners, internally and externally. Proven success in delivering medium to large scale IT projects Project management experience in the utility industry is desirable. 12-months contract duration with potential extension
