The role As a Senior IT Network Specialist within our dynamic Digital Information Office, this role will be responsible for leading the installation, monitoring and maintenance of the organisation's ICT network and associated hardware and software. Collaborating with stakeholders this role will oversee the project management from design through to implementation of ICT Networks. As a Senior Specialist within the team this role will manage complex problem solutions and escalations across the organisation's ICT network and associated hardware and software. For more information read the full Role Description: Senior Network Specialist What you will bring to the role You will have a depth of experience at the Senior level in managing network infrastructure and it's support services whilst maintaining awareness of network security threats and risks associated with network infrastructure. You be a Subject Matter Expert with strong design and project management skills. A detailed and current knowledge of Cisco routed networks, Cisco switching, Meraki switching and Wi-Fi, and other major technologies. CCNP level experience or above is preferred Experience working with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), SDWAN, Cloud Networking (AWS & Azure), able to design and implement enterprise network and troubleshoot complex issues Experience working with a high level of autonomy whilst developing and delivering ICT solutions, projects and programs (ideally within a large multifaceted business enterprise) Knowledge of ITIL framework and popular network products offered by telecommunications providers and their application in a large organisation. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and demands Ability to mentor junior engineers and work cohesively in a team What is an essential requirement: This role may include being on-call, weekend, and after-hours work.
