Design & Build have partnered on one of Australia's largest projects who are seeking a Senior HR/IR Advisor with a heavy Industrial Relations focus to join their team.
This role is an Industrial Relations focused position & will present the opportunity to be heavily involved in Brownfield / Greenfield Enterprise Business Agreements as well as policy writing, preparation of business cases & liaising with unions.
This role will assist in resolving disputes by advising on workplace relations policies & problems as well as working collaboratively across the stakeholder groups ensuring compliance for employees & subcontractors.
Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Provide IR advice - interpretation of relevant legislation, awards, & enterprise agreements (blue collar & white-collar workforce).
Liaise with Payroll team re application of industrial instruments & payroll queries.
Manage union right of entry to site & guidance of union officials.
In-field first response to industrial incidents & action (in accordance with industrial risk mitigation strategies & contingency plans).
Coordinating subcontractor pre-qualification audits & mobilisation of personnel.
Review ABCC compliance for Project & subcontractors.
Deliver training to management & other personnel on IR & HR topics.
Develop & implement policies & procedures across workforce.
Generate employment contracts & internal employee correspondence as required.
Ensure compliance, provision of instruction, advice & support to personnel & management in the implementation of Project industrial systems including counselling/discipline, issue resolution, probation, return to work & performance evaluations.
Knowledge of Fair Work Act, industrial systems & structures and industrial agreement terms, conditions, & remuneration.
Identify emerging issues in a workplace & assist in developing strategies to mitigate risks.

Knowledge of legislative & economic environment (Contract law & construction industry).
