We're looking for someone with exceptional alternative dispute resolution experience to join our extraordinary and close-knit team.
Who we are: The Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) (EWOV) is a not-for-profit, independent and impartial dispute resolution service. We provide Victorian energy and water consumers with free, accessible, and informal dispute resolution.
Your new role and team: The Dispute Resolution Team receives and resolves complaints from consumers about electricity, gas and water providers. We apply a fair and reasonable approach to all our work to ensure we are accessible, independent, fair, accountable, efficient and effective.
As an EWOV Senior Investigator, you will use your exceptional alternative dispute resolution skills to manage a moderate to complex caseload, facilitating the timely resolution of consumer complaints. You will also support the investigations team through case guidance, sharing knowledge, coaching, and training, and will triage and allocate cases to investigations team members based on complexity.
What you'll bring: Demonstrated experience in investigating complex disputes/complaints. Sound knowledge of dispute resolution, including ADR benchmarks and key principles. A strong track record of preparing impartial written decisions or advice on complex matters, including the application of relevant laws, codes and guidelines. Experience in leading the development of staff in the capacity of a trainer, mentor or coach. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities. Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop effective working relationships, both externally and internally, to drive positive outcomes. Knowledge, or the ability to rapidly gain knowledge, of the electricity, gas and water industries and regulatory framework. Relevant tertiary qualifications.
