As a Senior Investigator, you'll work in a dynamic and impactful role in tackling internal financial crime. This position allows you to lead comprehensive investigations, minimizing fraud losses while maximizing recovery efforts. You'll have the opportunity to manage complex cases independently, provide critical risk advice to stakeholders, and contribute to shaping fraud prevention policies.
What you'll do: Manage and lead comprehensive end-to-end investigations, including formal records of interview, in an efficient, effective and timely manner.Prepare formal written reports, statements, and police briefs to thoroughly document investigation findings and support legal proceedings.Record and manage formal records of interview to ensure accurate and compliant capture of all information relevant to investigations.Develop and maintain fraud policies for Board approval, ensuring strong guidelines for the prevention, detection, and response to fraud.Ensure statutory reporting obligations are met by preparing and submitting necessary documentation in line with policy and compliance requirements.Provide risk advice to stakeholders through clear, concise documentation on current, emerging, and historical risks, aiding in sound business decision-making.Maintain and enhance procedural controls documentation to strengthen preventive and detective controls, minimizing fraud risks across the organisation.What you'll bring: Minimum 5 years demonstrated expertise in leading complex end-to-end fraud investigations.Highly developed report writing and communication skills.Demonstrated experience in critically analysing information and data.Proven high level of skill and experience in leading and reporting on investigations.Experience in undertaking formal records of interview and building briefs of evidence.Thorough understanding of investigation processes and procedures.What we can offer: A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leave.Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance products.Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave.Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs.Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council.At Suncorp, we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
