This includes advocacy on matters of critical importance to the organisation as the National Standards Body (NSB) and a member of ISO and IEC.What you'll doDevelopment and implementation of SA's international engagement strategyDevelop relationships with counterpart international standards organisations, in support of Australia's broader strategic interestsEnsure that Australia is recognised as a strong and valued contributor to international standards development activitiesEnsure SA is meeting our obligations as a member of ISO and IECIdentify and address potential issues, opportunities and risks in the international standards setting systemSupport internal and external stakeholders with their understanding and engagement with ISO and IECDevelop and direct SA's position on various matters of relevance, as well as coordinate SA's positions to be advocated by Australian representatives in governance rolesDevelop briefs and position papers to support Australian representatives in governance roles within ISO and IECAbout youBachelor's degree in politics, international relations, communication or other relevant fieldsMinimum 5 years proven experience in a professional, government, commercial or similar international policy roleExtensive understanding of Australia's trade policy and economic diplomacy prioritiesDeep understanding of the national and international standards-setting systemCulture & BenefitsStandards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
