We currently have an opportunity available for a Senior Internal Auditor, who will be reporting into the head of the Internal Audit Group.
This role is primarily responsible for conducting complex internal audits, providing independent and objective assurance on internal controls, and identifying and implementing sustainable process improvement solutions within the John Holland Group.
You will work collaboratively with customers, the audit team and other assurance functions within the organisation to deliver high quality audits.
This role is based out of our landmark offices on Flinders Street in Melbourne, and requires willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
What you will do:Conducting high quality project and business audits from beginning to end, inline with deadlinesPreparing concise and informative audit reports for senior managementIdentifying and documenting inherent risks and controls within business processesApplying better practices and business knowledge to critical thinking to identify root causes in weaknesses found and provide pragmatic recommendations to the business to deliver improvementsProviding input in the development of internal audit strategy and annual audit programMonitor and follow up with the implementation of actions agreed with managementLiaising with external auditors and consultants as appropriateWhat we are looking for:Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline eg Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, Information Systems, Legal or EngineeringCA/CPA/Project Management accreditationCIA, CISA or equivalentInternal audit experience within construction, heavy industry or engineering sectorsFirst, second or third line of defence assurance experience in projects, IT, business cycles, commercial, operations and governanceProven experience in project or program assurance preferably in construction industry.Strong understanding of project governance, project management and risk management.Expertise in applying risk and control conceptsExperience in complex and multiple stakeholder managementProven ability to communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholdersStrong relationship building and influencing skillsProficient in data analytics and use of data analytical toolsAbility to work autonomously as well as an excellent team player.Ability to multitask, self-time manage, prioritise workload and with a "can-do" attitude.Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skillsConversational or business level Mandarin (not essential but an added bonus)Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required as the role covers all functions and locations of John HollandAs part of the team, you can help us transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
