Role OverviewSenior Instrumentation EngineerJoin an Amazing team of Engineers & DesignersWorking on an Exciting Renewable Energy-based ProjectCompetitive remuneration & Flexible working opportunities.CBD office based in Perth, Western Australia with occasional local site visits, south of Perth.ResponsibilitiesThe role will require the successful applicant to work on FEED, detailed design and execution support scopes.Delivering discipline specific engineering services that meet Worley, its clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Undertake engineering design & technical verification of discipline project deliverables by others.?Initiate, manage & supervise engineering resources on projects to meet project requirements on time & within budget.Perform and/or manage discipline specific engineering activities etc.Design for appropriate levels of risk & be conscious of HSE input to all elements of the design.Actively contribute to the development and improvement of Company design systems, processes, practices and procedures.Assist in scoping engineering requirements, methodologies and estimating engineering budget for proposals in response to requests for quotations from clients in liaison with the Bid Managers and other disciplines.?Experience & SkillsThe role will also require the engineer to have the ability to undertake the design on multiple brownfields sustaining capital projects and have the ability to lead some jobs. ?A recognized engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent with eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.Substantial technical and practical Brownfields experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industryHydrocarbons/LNG industry experience (highly desired).Current EEHA competency and FSEng qualifications would be desirable but not essential.Strong experience in client, inter-discipline and construction interface management.Contact Details & How to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity, please click'Apply" button. Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to work on a major project for a high-profile mining client in a role based at their Perth CBD office. This opportunity is offered as an initial 12-month contract role. The project is focused on civil earthworks with scopes including areas such as roads, drainage and associated mine infrastructure.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will work as a part of a multidisciplinary project team, and will take on responsibilities such as: Providing direction to the civil design team. Preparing calculations and checking design drawings and models to ensure they align with applicable standards and specifications. Preparation of MTO's for estimating purposes. Coordinating interfaces with the client side and establishing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Preparing study and design documentation, specifications and project deliverables. What we hope you'll bring to the role: Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering. Extensive experience working within the mining and infrastructure project environment, coupled with an understanding and experience in engineering design. Experience in preparing engineering calculationsand checking design drawings and models. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to liaise with external and internal stakeholders. Contractors will be hired on as W2 and will be eligible to our benefits package. They will work under the direction of a Design Team Leader and will be a part of a small team, who will interface with counterparts in other engineering and design centers located in India, England, and China.
Contract extensions are possible depending on performance year on year.
Responsibilities Preparing 3D CAD design models using Smart 3D (S3D) software tool and creating 2D drawings in Microstation and SmartSketch for construction packages.Types of Electrical design models and drawings will include a variety of drawing types, including but not limited to single line development, Medium and Low voltage cable sizing and schedules, medium and low voltage electrical control schematic, wiring interconnections, junction and control box design, heat trace systems design and layout, etcResponsible for creating S3D models of cable tray layouts, underground conduit layouts, grounding/earthing layouts, lighting layouts, junction box and control station locations, etc.In addition to using S3D, the individual will learn how to obtain relevant information, review vendor & equipment drawings, understand design criteria, and read project documentsCreate S3D models for cable tray layouts, underground conduit systems, grounding systems, lighting layouts, junction box locations, electrical building layouts, and receptacle/control station layoutsComplete detailed design drawings for electrical distribution and control systemsCreate Electrical drawings for site construction activitiesReview vendor submittals and equipment reference drawingsCheck drawings for accuracy and formatInterface with other Design teams Civil/Structural, Piping, Stress Analysis, Mechanical & Machinery, etcQualifications Technical school education with CAD or associate degree in DraftingMinimum 2-5 years of CAD experience in modeling & creating design drawings using software tools such as AutoCAD, S3D, Frameworks, MicroStation, Solidworks, or other 3D softwareExperience with Smart 3D and SmartSketch is requiredWillingness to learn new CAD software toolsWillingness to learn electrical distribution and control conceptsCreate and populate 2D drawings from 3D models with guidance from discipline leadsAttention to detail and ability to work independently over timeWorking knowledge of Microsoft office software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word*The job may require occasional travel to domestic sites and other international engineering centers*
