The Inspectorate is responsible for providing compliance and enforcement services across workplaces in the ACT and Jervis Bay Territory.

We are responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance by duty holders in accordance with the WHS Act and Regulation and associated legislation for Dangerous Substances, workers' compensation, and Labour Hire Licensing.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Ability to perform the functions of an authorised Inspector in accordance with all relevant legislation, including completion of required mandatory training for Workers' Compensation legislation as a delegated/appointed person/Authorised officer by the WHS Commissioner.Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call and telephone roster when required.Participate in programmed after hours compliance activities when required.Note: Selection may be based on written application and referee reports only.
A merit pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
