Our suite of disciplines ranges from structural, geotechnical engineering, surveying, energy assessments and inspections of all kinds.Our purpose is to provide innovative, sustainable and cost-effective engineering services with a strong focus on the success and fulfilment of our clients and employees.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Senior Inspections (Forensic) Engineer to join our diverse team in our Wentworthville Office.Duties of this role are likely to include:Provide technical and forensic advice to internal and external clients;Perform structural inspections on-site, and prepare technical reports on these as required;Proactively build and maintain customer relationships in a professional manner, with a view to generating new and ongoing business;Review the work of other engineers in terms of accuracy, quality, and adherence to Residential Engineering's standards, and provide feedback as necessary;Maintain a high level of technical expertise, through ongoing research and professional development;Contribute to the technical development of the Division;Provide ongoing technical advice, leadership and assistance with the development of other engineers through guidance, instruction, and motivation as required.Who are we looking for?This position requires an individual who has a strong client focus and a high level of drive & motivation to provide innovative & practical engineering designs that meet client requirements. In addition, the successful applicant will have:Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) or equivalent, together with eligibility for registration as a Certified Practising Engineer, with 8-10 years of local experience in Australia;Excellent communication skills, in relation to dealing with customers, clients, and all levels of staff;Leadership skills, in relation to setting and maintaining ethics and values (particularly by example) within the Division, especially with mentees;High level of initiative and proactivity, especially in relation to creative problem-solving;High-level report writing skills;A sound understanding of mentoring and coaching techniques;A sound understanding of the BCA and Australian Standards;A valid Construction White Card.Benefits and Culture:We believe that the people we employ are what make us the great company we are today.
