Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer
Our client is a well-established business who are growing and need an additional Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join on a permanent basis.
Ideally, you'll come from a Networking background and now focus on Cloud (any is fine) and Infrastructure at a Senior level. We need someone who can not only script but also automate (not just DevOps). An automation mindset is important in this role, plus strong communication skills, can follow strategy and is willing to get their hands dirty.
Our client is mostly using Azure, but has some on-prem which will soon be migrated to Azure (you'll work on part of this project).
Some Responsibilities: Monitor, support and maintain Infrastructure Systems including Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, and many moreInstall, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management toolsPlanning and deploying upgrades and enhancements to all operational infrastructure, including but not limited to; servers, computers, network devices and phone systemsProactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availabilityMonitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixesWrite and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the manual intervention time on any tasksAbout you: 5+ years experience in a similar roleSound understanding of server/client communicationsSolid technical background in a hosted services environment including infrastructure networks, hardware, software and phone systemsExperience with; Virtualization (VMware), Windows Server and Active Directory, Exchange Server, Databases (SQL Server, Oracle), Remote Desktop Services, IIS (Certificate management, Websites), SIP Phone Systems, Networking (Routing, DNS, DHCP), Installation and configuration of IT Server hardware, Scripting PowerShell, Linux/UNIX based servers, Monitoring services and ProductsNetworking backgroundStrong cloud experience (ideally Azure)Experience in Financial Services is highly advantageousImportant points:
You must be able to go into the Melbourne CBD office 2-3 days per week and WFH 2-3 days per week.
Salary: Between $140,000 - $160,000 base + Super
Must be an AU PR / Citizen
