Agriculture and Fisheries (Organisation site)Strategy; National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program; Biosecurity Queensland; BerrinbaFind purpose you feel, impact you see and a legacy you bring to life. #DAFcareersAs our Senior Information Systems Analyst, you will:Investigate, research and analyse business processes with system functionality to develop future state system requirements, capturing and creating detailed specifications in support of projects that enable strategic initiatives.Prepare comprehensive reports, user manuals, and documentation outlining the status, operation, and maintenance of system software.Use strong and effective communication to coordinate stakeholder engagement with technical and non-technical staff to lead the development of information systems, providing advice, consulting and negotiating with stakeholders on complex and strategic business analysis and solution issues, to build effective client and stakeholder relationships in an environment of change and client service delivery.Apply project management and business analysis frameworks, particularly in mapping business needs to technology solutions, to promote and provide advice on use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools within the Program.Act as a subject matter expert to support and administer information systems within the National Fire Ant Eradication Program, identifying issues, communicating and escalating business information systems issues effectively to senior management and staff.Prioritise and coordinate the implementation of the ICT-related projects such as software development and system enhancements, business process reviews and IT infrastructure upgrades to meet the requirements and expectations of the business and introduce operational efficiencies.You may also have:Formal training in Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN), Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), Agile, or ITIL would be highly regarded.Knowledge of Atlassian products such as JIRA and Confluence is advantageous.Why join the department?
