The Senior IR/ER Specialist provides strategic industrial relations support, addressing employment legislation, Award interpretation, and employee relations issues.
This role is key in fostering a collaborative environment within WSLHD and navigating complex workplace matters.
In this role you will:
Offer expert advice on employment and industrial issues Facilitate cooperative relations with stakeholders Lead negotiations with industrial associations Represent WSLHD in Tribunals and Industrial Commission Develop IR policies and resources to build team capability How to Apply:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, Human Resources Management, or equivalent or extensive high-level experience in managing industrial employment matters in a large diverse service industry organisation. Experience in providing high quality strategic employment relations advice together with demonstrated ability to manage industrial matters including negotiations with industrial associations, advocacy experience, Award and legislation interpretation and application. Sound knowledge of the NSW Industrial Relations system, and demonstrated experience in presenting matters before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and Statutory bodies including preparing and presenting matters before tribunals and industrial associations. Demonstrated experience in managing workplace disputes, grievances and conducting investigations. Proven experience in leading employment and or industrial negotiations as well as providing sound advice on related matters. High level communication, interpersonal, sound analytical and problem solving skills, including demonstrated ability to represent or advocate complex issues on behalf of the WSLHD before relevant statutory tribunals. Strong conceptual and problem solving skills, including an ability to respond creatively to issues raised, providing alternate acceptable solutions. Requisition ID: REQ525713
