The Role In this Senior Industrial Designer role, you'll not only have team lead responsibilities but will also be involved in the development of new designs, taking them from conception through to production.
Special emphasis will be on in situ modelling and photorealistic rendering.
You will:
Take ownership of new product designs, seeing innovation and concepts through the complete journey to product releasePresent impressive design concepts and solutions through modelling, rendering and prototypingSpecialise in photorealistic in situ product renderingImprove, maintain and update current products based on feedback from various teams, end-users and manufacturersCommunicate with stakeholders and manage project outcomesDevelop and maintain bill of materials, assembly documentation, accessories and packaging solutionsSkills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or relevant engineering discipline, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experienceA minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial design, with preference for Defence, Medical, Aerospace or Consumer Electronics industriesTeam leadership experienceExperience in Solidworks, Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Keyshot (desirable)Strong ideation and sketching skills to effectively communicate ideasKnowledge of complex surface modellingPrevious experience in design for manufacture with knowledge of various manufacturing techniquesExcellent task and time management skillsPhotography and video editing experience - preferableYou would excel in a high empowerment, fast paced environment, surrounded by likeminded, high achieving peopleAn abundance of ambition and motivation to grow the company and compete with the big players in the industryAustralian citizenship preferred for security level clearance requirementsBenefits Culture of collaboration and exploration, encouraging you to develop ideas and potential new productsGrowth opportunityWhole product evolutionary cycleOwnership of work from start to finish - all aspects of design ideation and components/systemsMulti-disciplined team environmentLiaison with local and overseas suppliers and manufacturing partnersPool car for work travelFree coffee, food, phone costsCentrally located close to transport linksN.B.
