Working closely with internal departments, you will be planning, organising, and managing import/export freight operations, communicating with a variety of stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and authorities both domestically and overseas to advise on order activity status, ensuring your clients are happy and receiving the accurate and timely service they expect.
Responsibilities will include:Coordination of freight movements for both import and export shipments (air and sea)Source and negotiate rates, provide quotes, receive booking and complete job registration processLiaison with overseas agents, carriers, suppliers and relevant government bodiesCargo automation, shipment tracking, monitor clearance and availabilityPrepare export documentation, processing EDN's/PRA'sCoordinate cargo collection and delivery, invoicing and pre alertsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, provide a high level of customer serviceYou will be a proactive and confident team player with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, strict attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential to your success, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Cargowise1 preferred.
